No. 01 · The Inaugural Journey · 24–27 September 2026

Playa del Carmen.

Four days on the Yucatán coast, built entirely around the game and the people who love it. Here is how it unfolds.

Pro Padel League
The Game · Powered by the Pro Padel League

Train, play, and watch the pros.

This is the heart of it, and total immersion. Private training sessions and clinics with touring professionals. A member tournament where you take the court and play to win. Reserved seats to watch the Pro Padel League compete live. And casual play on Maroma's own courts whenever the mood strikes. You don't just spectate, you train and compete alongside the people who play for a living.

The Place

Where the jungle meets the reef.

Three nights at Maroma, a Belmond hotel, the most quietly storied address on the Riviera Maya. Thatched palapas, a turquoise shelf of Caribbean, a thatched-roof great room, and gardens that open to the sand. The stillness the rest of the coastline lost years ago.

Cenote swim
The Day Off Court

Cenotes, ruins and a Mayan blessing.

One morning the whole club moves together: a swim in a private cenote, partake in a Mayan ceremony, and visit the SFER IK gallery in Tulum. Then take your pick: more time on court or an ATV run through the jungle. For those who rise early, sunrise yoga beckons.

The Table

Dinners that run long.

It opens with a welcome reception on the sand and runs through a beach party with mariachi and a churros cart, a tournament night under the lights, and a long farewell brunch nobody wants to leave. Open bars throughout. The kind of nights where you trade numbers and start planning the next journey before this one ends.

Good to Know

Questions & answers.

How does payment work?
Applications are free. Once your application is accepted, you'll receive a private link to secure your place with payment in full. Your spot is confirmed the moment payment is received, and places are limited, so accepted members are encouraged to confirm quickly.
What is the refund policy?
If you need to cancel your spot, please email us at info@aterratravel.com. Refunds will only be issued if your spot is filled by another participant. Once filled, refunds will be processed minus a 5% processing fee.
What's included in the price?
Everything but the flight. Three nights at Maroma, all padel programming with the Pro Padel League, training and a members' tournament, match tickets, every group meal and party, the cultural day, the ATV adventure, optional sunrise yoga, and all ground transfers. Members book their own airfare into Cancún (CUN).
How large is the group?
For our experiences hosted in 5-star hotels, we intentionally keep the group small, with a maximum of 60 participants per edition, so the trip stays personal and the connections between members stay real. Some intimate editions are smaller still, limited to 12 to 15 guests.
What does membership include?
Founding membership ($5,000/year) is built around access. A founding welcome kit (custom tennis and padel apparel plus an Aterra cap and tote), Grand Slam and Masters 1000 tickets through Racquet, subject to availability, members-only gatherings, and first access to every edition before public applications. You take $1,000 off every Racquet Retreats edition and $1,000 off any bespoke trip or safari with Aterra Travel, one complimentary safari night with Singita, andBeyond or Wilderness in Africa that never expires, complimentary Swarovski Optik binoculars on any andBeyond safari, and Virtuoso hotel perks (up to $200 resort credits, upgrades and late checkout where available) on Aterra stays. Membership renews automatically each year, and you can opt out anytime.
Does membership renew automatically?
Yes. Membership renews automatically each year so your place and founding rate are held and your spot stays exclusive. You can opt out anytime before renewal.
Do I need a partner to join?
Not at all. Apply solo and we'll pair you with a fellow member in a shared room, or bring a friend or partner. Many of our members arrive on their own and leave with a new circle.
What do I need to arrange on my own?
Your international flights into and out of Cancún (CUN), a valid passport with any visa required for entry to Mexico, and comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering the full dates of the trip. We are glad to recommend providers, but flights, visas and insurance are each traveller’s own responsibility to arrange and pay for.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. Every participant must hold comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering the full dates of the trip, including medical care, emergency evacuation and trip cancellation. We may ask to see proof before departure.
Are the Grand Slam and Masters tickets guaranteed?
Ticketed access such as Grand Slam and Masters 1000 seats is arranged through Racquet and offered subject to availability. Specific tournaments, dates and seats cannot be guaranteed, and this benefit sits alongside the core experience rather than replacing any part of it.
